TEST PRINCIPLE
A visual, qualitative one-step immunoassay based on a competitive test with specific monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. The drug possibly present in the urine and a chemically labelled drug in the test region compete for a limited number of specific antibody binding sites. This means:
In absence of drug in the urine a coloured line
appears in the test region: Test negative.
In presence of drug in urine the binding does
does not occur and no coloured line appears:
Test positive.
Another antigen/antibody reaction, which occurs in the control region (C) and produces an other coloured line, indicates that the test has performed properly.
